WELCOME TO
HEIGHT OF THE ROCKIES

Height of the Rockies Adventure Co. (2014) Ltd. is a British Columbia based company operating in southeastern BC. We offer first rate wilderness hunting experiences and a diverse range of summer adventures. The company owns one of the larger guide-outfitting territories in southern B.C. The territory is a mix of low, fertile river valleys, creeks, rivers, lakes, thick forested slopes, mountain basins and alpine meadows. Most of the territory is accessible only on foot or by horseback as it is within Height of the Rockies Provincial Park where motorized access is not allowed.

Access into the main lodge is by gravel road or by helicopter. Queen Mary Lake Camp, Rolf Lake, and Tipperary Camp are only accessible by horseback or by hiking in. Closest airports are the Rocky Mountain International Airport in Cranbrook (3 hours away) or Calgary International Airport (4 hours away).

Our camps

My good friend and hunting partner have been big game hunters for over twenty years.  None of our many experiences can compare to the amazing time spent with our great guides and friends, Kim and Ron.  The challenges and excitement of the hunt, horseback riding along the Palliser river, the hike up the mountain were beyond our expectations.  The accommodations were fabulous and the scenery outstanding.  Finishing it all with fresh moose tenderloin and sips of a good scotch.  Ahhh, what a memory to cherish.

If you’re looking for a hunt of a lifetime, the Height of the Rockies will make your dreams a reality. My brother Curt and I had a great moose and goat hunt experience. Within a few days, we had an 8 plus year old goat with 10” horns and a moose with a 48” spread and 23 points. Hands down our expectations were exceeded.

Kim and Syl will do everything possible to make your hunt a success. If you want a real hunt and not just a camping trip with a guide going thru the motions, go with Kim and Syl, they will make it happen!! There is no substitute for hard work and they sure put in the effort in getting us up the mountain and in position to be successful, wrangling the horses, and packing gear and meat. You know the guides are passionate about what they do when you can’t wipe the smile off their faces after a day in the mountains.

If you’re looking for a reputable outfitter that looks out for your safety, has excellent accommodations, breathtaking scenery, great food, good horses, big animals and you come in as a client and leave as a friend, then this is the place we would recommend. Thanks Bill, Brad, Ron, Kim and Syl!
